Philips introduces industry's first portfolio of 100% Lead-free small signal discretes in plastic surface mount devices

Royal Philips Electronics (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHI) today announced the availability of its entire portfolio of small signal discrete plastic surface mount devices (SMD) in 100% lead-free packaging. Products in UK are 99% compliant

According to an article this week in Design News sister publication, Electronics Weekly, 99 percent of electronic products are 99 percent compliant. The assessment comes from Chris Smith, the director of RoHS enforcement at the UK’s National Weights and Measures Laboratory (NWML).
