Vishay Siliconix Releases New 20-V and 30-VP-Channel Power MOSFETs With Industry’s Lowest On-ResistanceThe devices will be used as the adaptor switch and for load switching applications in notebook computers and industrial/general systems. Adaptor switches (switching between the adaptor/wall power and the battery power) are always on and drawing current. The lower on-resistance of the Si7135DP and Si7633DP translates into lower power consumption, saving power and prolonging battery life between charges. [Read more...] |
Tokyo, Japan, September 27, 2006—Asahi Kasei Microsystems Co., Ltd. (AKM), a leading supplier of audio ICs for professional and consumer markets, today launches the AK4115, a digital audio interface transceiver with a built-in ultra-low-jitter PLL. The latest addition to AKM’s Audio4proTM range is offered to meet the demanding requirements of the professional and consumer markets.
Supporting sampling rates to 216 kHz from both bi-phase and SYNC Clock sources, the AK4115 is ideal for professional and high-end consumer audio equipment such as electrical musical instruments and AV amplifiers. The receiver section generates a master clock, for the local digital audio interface, from bi-phase signals supporting digital audio interface standards AES3, IEC60958, S/PDIF, and EIAJ-CP1201.
Compared with previous products, the AK4115 provides an astounding 33% less jitter (100ps), higher conversion accuracy, and many more functions—including a studio SYNC clock mode that generates master clocks from word clocks—for interfacing with studio equipment.
Both receiver and transmitter sections allow asynchronous operation, enabling receiving or transmitting with an independent clock. The AK4115’s input and output differential amplifiers for bi-phase signals conform to the RS422 standard and the receiver and transmitter can communicate with full 192-bit channel status using the C-bit buffer.
The receiver-section includes an 8-input selector, making the AK4115 ideal for high-quality multi-channel digital audio. It also supports sampling rates to 216 kHz, variable pitch, a Q sub code buffer for audio CD and integrates detection for Non-PCM data for compatibility with former models. In addition to this built-in detection, the AK4115 includes two on-chip crystal oscillators. The microcomputer interface supports both 400 kHz I2C bus and four-wire type interface.
The AK4115 comes in a 64pin LQFP package. Evaluation boards and samples are available now. To obtain more information, contact AKM, Audio & Video Business Operation, Nishi-Shinjuku 1-23-7, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo 160-0023, Japan.
