AverLogic Technologies Presents the Reference Designs for
In-Car DVR Application
In-car infotainment applications such as Car Digital Video Recorder (DVR), and mobile video surveillance system will see rapid growth over the coming years. To address this demand, AverLogic Technologies, Corp. (TOSE: 6198), the video processing IC and specialty memory design company, offer a range of reference designsˇXˇ§Parking Aids for In-Car DVR Applicationˇ¨, and ˇ§4/9-CH DVR for Mobile Video Surveillance Systemˇ¨--that address the in-car infotainment markets. Based on the companyˇ¦s surveillance controllers, AL37219 or AL37204, these reference designs offer manipulation and display of multiple video sources to aid secure and safe viewing on the move.
Different from the typical acoustic parking assist system, AverLogicˇ¦s latest reference design ˇV ˇ§Parking Aids for In-Car DVR Applicationˇ¨ˇXhelp the car manufacturer, as well as system manufacturer, utilize the advantage of parking aids with visual warning function. Says Kyle Chang, CEO of AverLogic Technologies, Inc., ˇ§the traditional sonar radar indicates the distance by different tone pulse or frequency only, even the car camera only displays the image without any warning function. By introducing these latest reference designs for CAR DVR, AverLogic have the opportunity to meet the system integratorsˇ¦ need, and help them quickly develop the mobile surveillance system. With the new reference design, not only does the car driver hear the radar tone, the application also provides capability of viewing the image with distance information, or shows a warning indicator/message on the screen, etc. Additionally, it could be integrated with the existed Controller Area Network (CAN), or DVD player together in the in-car infotainment systemˇ¨.
Reflecting the increasing popularity of multiple channels Car DVR, AverLogic is also enabling secure streaming up to nine live video inputs to TV or LCD TV outputs. Adds Chang, ˇ§With AverLogicˇ¦s reference design for 4 or 9 channel Car DVR, powered by AverLogicˇ¦s AL37219 advanced surveillance controller, any of the selected inputs can be horizontal/vertical (H/V) scaled down (one-fourth, one-third, one-half, two-third, three-fourth) and frozen. Viewing modes include side-by-side, quadrant display, picture in picture (PIP), picture on picture (POP), and anti-rolling channel switching, and so on. This provides a high degree of video overlay flexibilityˇ¨.
The AL37204 and AL37219 are high performance real time video surveillance controllers capable of streaming four/nine live PAL/NTSC video channels to the system display. Both controllers provide an additional input channel for playback and three separate output paths providing 8 bit ITU-R BT. 656 and/or 24 bit RGB format data for maximum flexibility meeting digital video recording and LCD TV/monitor display requirements.
In view of growing demand for Car Digital Video Systems, AverLogic Technologies will launch these new surveillance controller ICs, AL37204 and AL37219 at Electronica 2006, Nov 14th to 17th, Munich, Germany. Please surf the company´s website at http://www.averlogic.com AverLogic welcomes you!
