Vishay Siliconix Releases New 20-V and 30-VP-Channel Power MOSFETs With Industry’s Lowest On-ResistanceThe devices will be used as the adaptor switch and for load switching applications in notebook computers and industrial/general systems. Adaptor switches (switching between the adaptor/wall power and the battery power) are always on and drawing current. The lower on-resistance of the Si7135DP and Si7633DP translates into lower power consumption, saving power and prolonging battery life between charges. [Read more...] |
Ideal for Broadband Instrumentation, Test and Communications Applications!
Chelmsford, MA 10/23/06 - Hittite Microwave Corporation, the world class supplier of complete MMIC based solutions for communication & military markets, announces the release of two new MMIC based connectorized power amplifier modules which are ideal for broadband instrumentation, test equipment, and communications applications from 10 MHz to 15 GHz. The HMC-C037 is a GaAs PHEMT MMIC, 0.5 Watt Wideband Power Amplifier which operates from 10 MHz to 15 GHz and features an integrated heat sink and EMI filtered DC terminals. The integrated heat sink allows for ease-of-use in a lab environment, since no heat sink has to be designed and specified. The HMC-C037 typically delivers flat 12 dB gain up to 12 GHz, making this device ideal for broadband instrumentation, lab and test equipment applications, as the need for band switching is eliminated. The HMC-C037 also provides up to +37 dBm output IP3 and up to +28 dBm of output power at 1 dB compression. Gain flatness is excellent at ±0.3 dB from 2 to 15 GHz, while the saturated output power is 0.5 Watt up to 15 GHz. The HMC-C037 and the HMC-C036 exhibit identical electrical specifications. The primary difference between the two devices is that the HMC-C037 is offered with an integrated heatsink, while the HMC-C036 is offered in a miniature, hermetic module allowing customers with wide-ranging system requirements the flexibility to specify their own mechanical interface. Like the HMC-C037, the HMC-C036 is a GaAs PHEMT MMIC power amplifier with replaceable SMA connectors serving broadband instrumentation, test equipment and communications applications. The I/Os of the HMC-C036 and HMC-C037 amplifiers are internally matched to 50 Ohms and are DC blocked. Both amplifiers feature integrated voltage regulators allowing for flexible biasing of both the negative and positive supply pins, while the internal bias sequencing circuitry assures robust operation. Both amplifiers are specified for operation over the 0°C to +85°C temperature range, are available from stock, and can be ordered via the company’s e-commerce site or via direct purchase order. Released data sheets are available on-line at www.hittite.com.
