Vishay Siliconix Releases New 20-V and 30-VP-Channel Power MOSFETs With Industry’s Lowest On-ResistanceThe devices will be used as the adaptor switch and for load switching applications in notebook computers and industrial/general systems. Adaptor switches (switching between the adaptor/wall power and the battery power) are always on and drawing current. The lower on-resistance of the Si7135DP and Si7633DP translates into lower power consumption, saving power and prolonging battery life between charges. [Read more...] |
SUNNYVALE, CA—October 26, 2006—Maxim Integrated Products (NASDAQ: MXIM) introduces the DS1091L, an integrated spread-spectrum, silicon EconOscillator™ that reduces EMI emissions in harsh automotive environments of -40°C to +125°C. The DS1091L is factory-trimmed to be used as a stand-alone oscillator from 130kHz to 66.6MHz. The center frequency is accurate to within ±1.75% over voltage and temperature. The DS1091L reduces radiated emissions (RMS voltage) up to 23dB compared to crystal oscillators. Used as the system clock, the spread-spectrum DS1091L can simplify, or even eliminate shielding and filtering, which reduces cost and minimizes design time. To allow simple optimization of system design, the DS1091L dither magnitude (center- or down-dither options) and dither frequency are pin-selectable. Spread-spectrum modulation can also be disabled. The DS1091L operates from 3.0V to 3.6V and is available in the tiny 8-pin µMAX® (and a 3mm x 3mm TDFN package under development). Pricing begins at $0.72 (1000-up, FOB USA.)
