Vishay Siliconix Releases New 20-V and 30-VP-Channel Power MOSFETs With Industry’s Lowest On-ResistanceThe devices will be used as the adaptor switch and for load switching applications in notebook computers and industrial/general systems. Adaptor switches (switching between the adaptor/wall power and the battery power) are always on and drawing current. The lower on-resistance of the Si7135DP and Si7633DP translates into lower power consumption, saving power and prolonging battery life between charges. [Read more...] |
M/A-COM, Inc., a business unit of Tyco Electronics and a worldwide leader of critical radio communication systems, today introduced the M7300, its new mobile radio line for mission critical communications. M/A-COM's M7300 mobile radios provide secure interoperations for first responders who need to utilize various operating modes in the dual-band public safety environment, enabling seamless communications at 800 MHz and 700 MHz radio frequencies for multiple communication protocols.
"In order to achieve real interoperability, radio communications users must have flexible, reliable technology that they can use over multiple systems and different bands," said Chris Naisawald, product manager, M/A-COM. "The introduction of our new M7300 mobile radios gives mission critical users the required functionality along with higher operating power, optional security encryption and an over-the-air programming features, which allows communications protocols to be changed easily and/or added at any time."
M/A-COM developed the M7300 line of mobile radios to answer the needs of mission critical radio communications users. Consequently, the M7300 supports multiple operating modes, including OpenSky digital operation, Enhanced Digital Access Communications System (EDACS) or ProVoice trunked modes, P25 digital trunked mode, P25 digital conventional mode as well as conventional analog mode.
OpenSky is a secure integrated digital voice and data communications system, which leverages the power of Internet Protocol (IP) and packet technology for reliability and scalability to bring voice and open data applications to radio users.
M/A-COM's M7300 mobile radios offer optional Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) for maximum communications security and an optional Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver module to provide standard GPS data for over-the-air transmission for use in location based applications such as AVL.
The M7300 is optimized for use in critical communications environments. Accordingly, it is a small package that can be front- or remote-mounted to provide the best utilization of the limited space available in vehicles. It also uses our most advanced new control unit with a large graphical display to maximize readability and controls designed for ease-of-use. Since users have different requirements, M/A-COM offers a choice of control units, microphones, antennas, and mounting methods. In addition the radio operation and control operation are highly configurable via software.
