ISL62381 - High-Efficiency, Quad-Output System Power Supply Controller for Notebook Computers - The ISL62381, ISL62382, ISL62383 family of controllers generate supply voltages for battery-powered systems. They include two pulse-width modulation (PWM) controllers, adjustable from 0.6V to 5.5V, and two linear regulators, LDO5 and LDO3, that generate a fixed 5V and an adjustable output respectively, and each can deliver up to 100mA. The channel 2 switching regulator will automatically take over the LDO5 load when programmed to 5V output. This provides a large power savings and boosts efficiency. The ISL62381, ISL62382, ISL62383 family include on-board power-up sequencing, two power-good (PGOOD) outputs, digital soft-start, and internal soft-stop output discharge that prevent negative voltages on shutdown.

MAX4888A, MAX4889A - High-Speed Passive Switches Enable PCIe 2.0 Switching

MAX4888A, MAX4889A - High-Speed Passive Switches Enable PCIe 2.0 Switching

The MAX4888A and MAX4889A feature a single digital-control input (SEL) to switch signal paths. The parts are also designed to minimize power and skew, in essence, offering a zero delay switch. Although originally designed for PCIe, the MAX4888A / MAX4889A may be useful for other differential-signaling applications, where signal levels are centered around ground level, such as DisplayPort. [Read more...]

MAX19693 - 12-Bit, 4.0Gsps, Wideband DAC Delivers Industry-Leading Dynamic Performance at Lowest Power

03.04.2008 23:30 - Source: Maxim Integrated Products
12-Bit, 4.0Gsps Digital-to-Analog Converter SUNNYVALE, CA—April 3, 2008—Maxim Integrated Products (Pink Sheets: MXIM) introduces the MAX19693, the industry's highest performance 12-bit, 4.0Gsps, wideband digital-to-analog converter (DAC). This DAC is optimized for direct digital synthesis of high-frequency and wideband signals in the first Nyquist zone. It offers excellent spurious and noise performance and can directly synthesize signals in the frequency range from DC to nearly 2GHz. The MAX19693 achieves a spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) of greater than 70dBc for output frequencies less than 800MHz, and 62dBc at an output frequency of 1500MHz. At a 4.0Gsps update rate and output frequency of 200MHz, the device offers a wideband-noise spectral density of -164dBm/Hz. The 4.0Gsps output-update rate and high-performance architecture of the DAC enable this excellent wideband dynamic performance. The MAX19693's outstanding performance makes it ideal for wideband communications, radar waveform and local oscillator (LO) signal synthesis, electronic warfare, arbitrary waveform generators, automatic test equipment, and direct digital synthesis (DDS).

The MAX19693 operates from 3.3V and 1.8V supplies, and consumes 1180mW at 4.0Gsps. Fully specified over the -40°C to +85°C extended temperature range, it is available in a compact, 11mm x 11mm, 169-ball CSBGA package. Contact the factory for pricing.

Maxim Integrated Products, a two billion dollar company, designs and manufactures ICs for analog and mixed-signal applications. The company has designed over 5400 products, more than any other analog semiconductor company, in the 25 years since its founding.
