National Semiconductor Creates New Part Number Prefix for High-Definition Serial Digital Interface Products
April 5, 2006 – National Semiconductor Corporation (NYSE:NSM) announced today that it has introduced a new part number prefix “LMH0” for four existing high-definition serial digital interface (SDI) products and all new SDI products. The new “LMH0” prefix replaces the former “CLC” prefix on the following four high-definition products:
| Former Part Number | New Part Number | Effective Date |
| CLC002 | LMH0002 | February 28, 2006 |
| CLC031A | LMH0031 | February 28, 2006 |
| CLC034 | LMH0034 | April 30, 2006 |
| CLC030 | LMH0030 | 2nd Quarter Calendar 2006 |
In addition, the renamed LMH0034 and LMH0030 will feature enhanced performance. The LMH0034 will include increased launch amplitude voltage with the carrier-detect feature enabled and the LMH0030 will feature further reduced output jitter.
There is no change to packaging and all the products listed above are backward compatible with their “CLC” counterparts.
The four high-definition SDI products above are the only National products that will have the “CLC” prefix change. Other National products with the “CLC” prefix will not be changed. All new SDI products will use the “LMH0” prefix.
The change in prefix ensures that the part numbers for National’s high-definition SDI product family are consistent.
