MALVERN, PENNSYLVANIA — May 6, 2008 — Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) today announced that the company's SiP12510 and SiP12511 white LED drivers have won the 2008 EE Times Annual Creativity in Electronics (ACE) Award in the category of Ultimate Products of the Year, Analog ICs. The ACE Awards recognize the electronics engineering industry's most innovative companies and breakthrough technologies.

The Vishay Siliconix SiP12510 and SiP12511 are 1.25-MHz current-mode boost converters with a feedback reference voltage of 0.1 V. Their typical efficiency of 90 % is the highest ever achieved for this device type. For any battery-operated consumer product with a liquid crystal display — such as a digital camera, PDA, cellular phone, or game device — the SiP12510 and SiP12511 provide superior performance to enable image brightness and clarity.
