Free recycling collections of household electrical goods

Kilkenny County Council in association with WEEE Ireland will be holding free recycling collections of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) during the month of November.

Domestic electrical items of all types and sizes will be accepted free of charge for recycling during designated once – off collections.

The recycling collections will take place according to a specific schedule. Businesses are obliged under the WEEE directive to make their own separate arrangements for recycling commercial WEEE.

Domestic electrical items can be recycled all year round at the Dunmore Civic Amenity.

Collection dates:

November 4

A mobile household waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) collection will take place between 10am and 4pm on the 4th of November at Mullinavat. The collection will be located at St Beacon’s Church car park.

November 11

A mobile household WEEE collection service will take place between 10am and 4pm on the 11th of November at Johnstown. The collection will be located at the lay – by beside St. Kieran’s Place.

November 18

A mobile household WEEE collection service will take place between 10am and 4pm on the 18th of November at Mooncoin. The collection will take place at the Church car park.

November 25

A mobile household WEEE collection service will take place between 10am and 4pm on the 25th of November at Castlecomer. The collection will take place at the Council depot in Skehana.

This mobile WEEE collection service is free of charge to the householders of Kilkenny. This local service provided by Kilkenny County Council will give you the opportunity to clean out any old waste electrical and electronic equipment for free e.g. dishwashers, cookers, televisions, computers, radios, hairdryers, & mobile phones.
