The UK-based Chemical Industries Association (CIA) provides the subscription-based REACHReady website that offers information on developments in the European Union’s Registration, Evaluation and Authorization of Chemicals (REACH) directive. The CIA has contributed to the development of this legislation.
The REACHReady website is a commercial offering from the CIA that offers two levels of subscription. The Silver Service is free, and everyone who signs up gets access to a password protected part of the website that contains regularly updated information. Silver Service subscribers also receive alerts on upcoming legislative deadlines and information on new services from REACHReady.
The Gold Service subscription is fee-based. Subscribers get access to REACHScope, REACHReckoner, REACHMatchmaker and a help desk that is available during business hours in the UK. REACHScope helps users identify whether a particular substances falls within the scope of REACH. REACHReckoner provides estimates on compliance costs based on individual subscriber input. REACHMatchmaker helps subscribers determine the most cost-effective way to comply with REACH.
